Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Do you know what the best practice is? Just add a commit that replaces everything with a new README with a link?
There's this method, but i think this only applies to new github repos. You can just link to the new repo in the README and mark the old one as read-only/archived in the settings.
